For Spring Break, Lagoona takes her friends - Ghoulia, Cleo, Frankie, Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Abbey - and her boyfriend Gil, on a boat trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Or at least, such was the plan originally. The ghouls find their boat going to Skull Shores instead, under guidance of a mysterious man. Skull Shores presents itself as a tropical paradise and exclusive vacation destination, as well as the home of a tribe of wooden idols called the Tiki, who obey the mysterious man.
