Horizon: Historians have always believed that an Asian people, known as the Clovis, crossed from Asia to Alaska to populate the New World, bringing with them a spear-pointed weapon which they used to wipe out great beasts such as mammoths. But now, as this documentary reveals, scientists claim that the first Americans were a group of Ice Age Europeans who braved blizzards and pack ice conditions to make an epic journey across the Atlantic, bringing the legendary weapon with them from the east 15,000 years before Columbus set sail.
